We are hosting a Gospel Mission from 1st to 15th June with Evangelists Noel Shields and Colin Maxwell. Each evening, the Holy Bible will be opened as the words of the living God will be brought to our attention. With special singers each night, everyone will be made most welcome to come and hear how one can be saved from sin and have a sure and certain hope of eternal life.
QUESTIONS THAT NEED ANSWERS
- What do you think is the most important thing in your life?
- Why do bad things happen to good people?
- Where do you think people get their sense of right and wrong from?
- Can I be sure of heaven one day?
- What happens when we die?
- Can there ever be hope in a hopeless world?
Everywhere we look, we see evidence of a broken world. Natural disasters, war and terrorism, abortion on demand, religious abuses, rioting, looting, confusion about womanhood, immorality, broken homes, all of these cause tremendous grief, loss, and suffering.
Why is everything broken? The Bible gives us the answer, but it is an answer few want to hear.
In Jeremiah 17:9 it says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. We are all guilty of breaking God’s law. That’s the bad news. Is there any good news? Yes. What is the answer to the brokenness of this present world? Christ is the answer.
In John 3:16 it says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

We are going around the Carryduff community with this leaflet, inviting everyone to come and hear the good news of the way of salvation from sin. Please do come along and bring a friend.
In the first book of John we read:
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
If you would like to get right with God, repent of your sins, have your sins forgiven, and receive a new life with new priorities, and a new outlook on life and death, the only way is through Jesus’ finished work on the cross of Calvary. He was made our substitute, he bore the punishment for sin, that we would be able to receive that free offer of forgiveness of sins. Please get in touch via our contact details below. WHAT IS CARRYDUFF FPC ?
Carryduff FPC is a friendly, welcoming congregation and all are most welcome to attend our services. They love to sing from the Psalter as well as the old hymns of praise and Gospel witness.
