Calling all PARENTS and CHILDREN to join with us as we celebrate 50 years of children’s ministries on the Killynure Road.
Dear Parents and Friends,
This year marks a wonderful milestone in the life of our church and community — fifty years of the Carryduff Free Presbyterian Sunday School and Children’s Ministry. We warmly invite you and your family to join us as we celebrate the faithfulness of God across the generations.
Back in 1976, a small group of believers prayed inside the old Killynure National Schoolhouse that God would raise a Gospel witness in Carryduff. From those humble beginnings came a Sabbath School which, through dedicated teachers and God’s gracious help, has taught the Bible to hundreds of local children. Many who once sat in those early classes are now parents — and some, even ministers — sharing the same unchanging message: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.”
To mark this historic occasion, a week of Special Anniversary Meetings will be held as follows:
At Carryduff Free Presbyterian Church
- Sunday 15th February at 7.00 pm – Rev. Graham Middleton, a former Sunday School pupil.
- Friday 20th February at 7.30 pm – “The Little Girl Raised from the Dead.”
- Sunday 22nd February at 7.00 pm – Rev. David McMillan, also a former Sunday School pupil.
At Carryduff Primary School – Monday 16th – Thursday 19th February at 7.30 pm
- Monday: The Boy Who Gave His Lunch to Jesus
- Tuesday: The Little Maid and Her Best Advice
- Wednesday: The Little Boy and His New Coat
- Thursday: The Little Ships
Parents and children are encouraged to attend each evening as we remember the Lord’s goodness, sing familiar choruses, and hear timeless Bible stories. These will be joyful gatherings of thanksgiving and Gospel teaching for the whole family.
Come and celebrate fifty years of God’s grace in Carryduff — the story of a small beginning blessed by a great and faithful God.
