Rev. David McLaughlin will be preaching from 1 Thessalonians 5:1–8 on the theme:
“Living in the Light of the Lord’s Return.”
In this passage, the Apostle Paul declares that “the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” While the world sleeps in spiritual darkness, believers are called to be alert, sober, and steadfast, for we are children of the light and of the day. Paul urges us to put on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of the hope of salvation, living as those who look toward Christ’s coming with joyful expectation.
