In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

  1. As a boy he was saved from drowning by the gardener called Mr. Fleming.
  2. As a man he was saved from death by the gardener’s son called Dr. Alexander Fleming, who discovered penicillin. He almost died from pneumonia.
  3. He loved and respected the Jewish people.
  4. His favourite passage of scripture was John 14:1-3 (He quoted it 5 times during famous speeches).

1. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
